STATFlash: 5-1-13 Legislative Update

Good afternoon STAT members! I have often heard it said that government moves slowly. I tend to disagree, with the rapid changes that have taken place this legislative session; it doesn’t seem that way at all. I am learning so much! Please take a moment to give some feedback and I challenge you to make a phone call.

HB 5 is on the calendar for a second reading in the Senate at any time.  There is still time for amendments to be added before a final vote is taken.

Possible Senate amendments have not been posted, but STAT would like to have your feedback.  The attached floor amendment outlines 4 years of science for graduation-
